Welcome to Flash Fiction Forums! As all sites do, we need to cover a few things before you register. And yes, you’ll have to agree to them before we let you! So here’s how it works: Flash Fiction Forums is a site dedicated to the obvious: flash fiction. If you’re coming to this site with anything other than your creative work (advertisements), we’re going to ban you. We encourage a growing community here at FFF; we also want to promote as much writing as possible. Please keep your spam off our site, and we’ll get along great! We’ve got some legal stuff to cover, but first we’d like to ask this of you: if you’re going to register, please be kind enough to reply back to other members’ work. Writing sites thrive on the activity of its members, and if you’re looking for feedback, please know that it’s a give-give relationship: you give a little, they give a little. Offer your words, your thoughts, and your fellow members will do the same.
And now, the boring legal crap that we have to cover:
You agree, through your use of this forum, that you will not post any material which is false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, adult material, or otherwise in violation of any International or United States Federal law. You also agree not to post any copyrighted material unless you own the copyright or you have written consent from the owner of the copyrighted material. Spam, flooding, advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes (are these still even around?), and solicitations are also forbidden on this forum.
Copyright information: Yeah, we own this site. Anything that we produce for this site (images, guides, etc.) is owned solely by the owner of FFF, or his/her successor. However, the creative work that is shared on the board is owned solely by the member that posts it/the author. Flash Fiction Forums will never use your material for profit, nor break any copyright rules. However, Flash Fiction Forums reserves the right to use, in part of whole, your work to promote the site via its blog, UNLESS the member’s work is housed in the protected forums. Flash Fiction Forums will NEVER use material owned by members that has been posted in its protected forums in efforts to protect the member’s first rights.
More copyright stuff: If you’re interested in using, in part or whole, any of the guides housed on this site, please contact the site administrator. Otherwise, any unauthorized use of the guide is infringement of proprietary laws. Please, if ever in doubt, just contact the site Admin, Javert. Likewise with members’ work. If you are interested in using their work, or are interested in offering them some money for use of their work, ALWAYS contact the author. Any unauthorized use of members’ work, in part or whole, will result in a ban, and an identification of IP. We can’t cover everything. Please remember that we do not actively monitor the posted messages, and as such, are not responsible for the content contained within. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information presented. The posted messages express the views of the author, and not necessarily the views of this forum, its staff, its subsidiaries, or this forum's owner. Anyone who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to notify an administrator or moderator of this forum immediately. The staff and the owner of this forum reserve the right to remove objectionable content, within a reasonable time frame, if they determine that removal is necessary. This is a manual process, however, please realize that they may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately. This policy applies to member profile information as well.
You remain solely responsible for the content of your posted messages. Furthermore, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the owners of this forum, any related websites to this forum, its staff, and its subsidiaries. The owners of this forum also reserve the right to reveal your identity (or any other related information collected on this service) in the event of a formal complaint or legal action arising from any situation caused by your use of this forum.
You have the ability, as you register, to choose your username. We advise that you keep the name appropriate. With this user account you are about to register, you agree to never give your password out to another person except an administrator, for your protection and for validity reasons. You also agree to NEVER use another person's account for any reason. We also HIGHLY recommend you use a complex and unique password for your account, to prevent account theft. Be good! That’s really all this says. Just be good!
