I have come aware of, and have taken part in a literary magazine housed in Hong Kong. This magazine, run by one of my long time writing friends, is looking for short pieces for print and online publication. They don't offer compensation, but if you're looking for exposure, this is a good place to start. If you're interested, let me know and I can get you in touch with the right person.

If you click the link, then click the image of their latest issue there on the right, it will open a pop up window of their printed magazine, of which you can turn the pages and explore what they're all about. Anyway, thought I'd share!!

Sounds like a great opportunity!  Since they aren't a pay market, would any stories submitted to them be available for online viewing, should a writer want to link to it for a writing sample?

You certainly could, as an online resume or something like that. However, I will note that by submitting and being published there, first rights will pretty much be gone, as you've "published" with them. For me, it's sort of a good place to just get something under your belt. Everyone needs a place to start, and I thought, why not. At least now, I can say that I've been published in an actual printed magazine.

Just got around to looking at this.  It really does look like an attractive magazine.  I wish I could see a printed copy.  I don't suppose they'd allow bylines?

I think the editor is mailing me a copy of the printed version, from Hong Kong.

As for the bi-lines, not sure about that one. The guy I'm in contact with was supposed to sign up here and keep everyone up to date, but I suppose he got busy or something  Undecided
